Christmas never really ends at our house, at least in the list-making department. Abby is continually adding items to her never-ending list and is pretty certain she will always get all of them. Over the past couple of weeks, I have heard her say that she wants a Nintendo DS, a Motor Scooter, and a new American Girl Doll. Needless to say, an elimination process had to be initiated. Santa and the economy are not that great of friends at the moment.
So, the other night, the conversation of "what do you want the most?" began between Abby and I as we were eating dinner.
I asked her to think about what she wanted the VERY Most...and explained the whole spill of Santa has to give presents to all the other kids too...(blah blah blah.) Abby went through the above mentioned items and said she wanted them, but then she said something that surprised me.
"Actually mom, the thing I want very most for Christmas is for Deakon to walk."
I smiled and said, "Me too."
I believe.
Santa is a pretty powerful guy - especially when he has my Abby's heart on his side.

PRICELESS! I hope you have a book of all the things she says. This is one you will cherish forever.
That is SO sweet!! What a loving sister.
That is honestly, the cutest, sweetest thing I have ever heard. See even when we can be stubborn, there is still a very strong beating heart inside us all. Lot's of love there. Ditto on the "Priceless" comment.
Sorry this is a test to see if my picture downloaded.
ohh that is so sweet!
Oh my gosh...that is such a precious comment. What a great sister.
We tell our kids that we still have to pay Santa for the gifts he brings. Nothing is for free :)
Oh come on that is too good. Such a sweetie.
Jen,
Hey it's Christy.(Can you believe I've finally figured out how to post?) I know, it's amazing. Anyways, what a sweet little girl. I love that.
First of all- way cute snow clothes for Abby- not so happy at the fact she was able to break them out this early in the year!!! Second of all- our bodies may be old- but our minds will forever live in our early 20's! Right?? Right??? Please tell me I'm right!?? And lastly- looks like Abby knows the true meaning of Christmas & Christmas wishes a little better than most!! I'm also putting that wish on my list! xoxo-nat
Great wish Abby, Grandma's too. I'm sure Santa will be kind also.

Isn't it awesome to hear things like that? In my home it doesn't happen too much, but when it does my heart totally melts. What a sweetheart she is!!
Ash,
No worries!! Sisters and birthdays are most important. I just may make you see it twice if you happen to see it with your fam this weekend;)
Oh...and Tami-it doesn't happen that often at my house either; hence a blog post dedicated to it!!
