Good Genes (I hope).

My mom turned 50 last week, and looks like she easily could be ten years younger.
My mom has always looked great, and taken fantastic care of herself. I remember watching her do her Jane Fonda workout tapes as a young girl, and trying to do the moves before I quickly lost interest and moved onto something that most likely involved eating. (Some things never change.)
After my mom was treated for Breast Cancer 7/8 years ago, she became even more involved in taking care of herself. She is now a gym Nazi, and spends nearly every morning of her week there...sometimes up to three hours. I don't need to say, because the pictures speak for themselves, but she is sure one fabulous 50 year old.
I sure hope it's completely genetic, and not due to countless gym hours.

We went to dinner to celebrate with her...and now she is off celebrating in the Caribbean on a cruise.

The Birthday Girl, and my sister Kelli.

The Cutest New Member of the Albright Clan, Crosby.

My Dad, Deak and Curt.

A real crappy picture of a really cute family...(Sorry guys).

Typical...

Riding the Saddle...

The girls thought Grandma on the saddle was hillarious, but Deak did not. He screams when they yell, "Yee - haw" and is nearly inconsolable. So, he went outside during this part of the festivities.

Happy Birthday Mom.

I've always thought your mom was a babe. That should make you look forward to your 50s.

Happy Birthday Kathy! She looks amazing. And the fact she rode a bull at 50 is so cool!!! It kills me that your parents are 50. Mine turn 70 this year. I guess that's the difference between the 1st and last child.

And am I reading it right that your sister named her baby Crosby? that is totally my name!! Its my moms maiden name and I've always wanted to name a boy that. Jake isn't on board yet, but he will be. I've never known anyone with that name so now I have some ammo with jake. I love it!

Jane,
Yep...cute little Crosby. It isn't very common at all, I hadn't heard it either. Her husband's family has a tradition where they name all their sons with a "C" name, and most of them are taken. So, she had to come up with something more original.
I love that it is your mom's maiden name...Now you just need a baby:)

Yes, your mom is so beautiful! Your dad's lucky he scored such a babe! :)

Lucky you....I'm sure it's 90% genetics and maybe only 10% gym.

Your mom is gorgeous. I saw her at the gym ALOT when I was religious in going a couple of years ago (that is down the drain now unfortunately)... I am not sure she remembered me though. And by the, in your case it is TOTALLY genetic!

Happy Birthday Kathy! I remember people having a crush on your mom when she would sub for me at Davis Jr. I can't believe she is 50...she does look much younger!
